Often used to pump excess water for drainage in floods, sewerage pumping and ponds, a submersible pump pushes water to the surface by converting rotary energy into kinetic energy and into pressure energy. This is done by the water being pulled into the pump- first in the intake, where the rotation of the impeller spins and drives the water through the diffuser, then the water intake pipe filters to clean the water prior to it entering the pump, followed by the outlet pipe which delivers clean water back into the pool/pond.
Our Submersible pumps range from a max of 70L/min- 220L/min and are all equipped with a float switch to detect the level of liquid present. All of our submersible pumps can be used as a replacement pump in G-Flow, Grey Flow PS plug and play , Grey Flow PS Pro or Grey Flow PS 2-Stage install.
Why use a pond pump
Water features, fountains and aquariums bring any garden or home to life creating aesthetically pleasing topographies. But it is all really brought alive with the aid of a pond pump. A pond pump is vital in the running and maintenance of any water feature application including aquariums and ponds. A pond pump circulates water to a fountain or waterfall and helps to keep water clear and full of oxygen. It is deemed necessary to have a pump for ponds that house more than a few fish and plants as they keep the water from becoming stagnant and help discourage the growth of algae.
